Virginia Golf Course Reviews provides legitimacy to the rankings of Virginia golf courses, highlighting the quality of golf in the commonwealth. Our goal is to review golf courses in each region of the state using Virginia golfers of all levels of ability, age and gender. 

We give immediate feedback to the golf course and an opportunity for our reviewers to experience some of the best golf in Virginia!

The Review Process

Virginia Golf Course Reviews rates golf courses with the goal of providing immediate feedback in five criteria: design, aesthetics, condition, fairness and experience. We like Dr. Alister MacKenzie’s 13 Principles of Golf Course Design as a backdrop to our reviews.

Virginia Golf Course Reviews is a totally independent organization and is not affiliated with any golf publication or golf association. In order to publish the cumulative results of our golf course reviews, you can find us on Facebook and in selected publications in the spring to highlight a yearly summary of our reviews. We are thrilled to publish our reviews to help promote the quality of Virginia golf courses throughout the mid-Atlantic region.
